I knew the Jews were the chosen people; chosen for what? When I was a young boy, my family took me to the temple for the first time. I fell in love with Godís people and the Word of God.
If thereís only one God, why are there so many religions and divisions? What happened? I had to know. God gave me a seeking heart but I was fearful to touch the New Testament. I was told time and time again that I was a Jew.
God arranged the environment and circumstances to soften me towards Him. It wasnít anything I said or did in my human life that made me worthy of Godís mercy or grace. It was His choosing (Ephesians1:4). Praise the Lord. Once I received the Lord and started reading the New Testament I wanted to be one with the Lord (1 Corinthians 6:17) and one with the Body (Ephesians 2:16; 4:4).
How? I donít know. I went church-hopping, but nothing I touched struck the right chord with me. But the Lord arranged my environment and circumstances to put me in the local church where I knew I belonged. Now I know the purpose of my human life, whatís on Godís heart and the procedure to reach His goal, the New Jerusalem (Revelation 21:2-3, 10).
